Reunion concept

As members of the East High Class of 2002, we have worked to coordinate 10-year and 15-year class reunions and in preparation for our 20-year event, we asked ourselves some new questions:

👺 How can make this event memorable and special to those who attend?

👺 How can we include members of other alumni classes that we share so many memories with but rarely have the opportunity to see?

👺 How can we make sure everyone can come, including those on a limited income?

We carefully watched last year as the East High Class of 2001 put on a reunion that was called "Class of 2001-ish" and saw they had a lot of success with opening up the event to alumni beyond their event. It was well attended and everyone had a ton of fun. We have also seen other classes struggle with holding reunions at all... not enough interest, the event was too expensive or it's too much work to coordinate with the busy lives many of us have.

In the beginning stages of planning for our 20th, we released a poll in the East High Class of 2002 Reunion Facebook group, asking our fellow classmates if they would be open to inviting in other classes... the overwhelming response was "yes!" which has led us to this open reunion concept.

If you are a member of East High Classes 1999-2004, please share this website and information about the event!

While this is the only the first year, our big dream is that perhaps other reunion coordinators can use this concept when it's their turn to plan reunions... and perhaps decrease the planning load while also increasing opportunities for East alumni to see each other on a more regular basis.

We sincerely hope to see you this fall for the first Alumni Homecoming!

Don't forget to let us know your plans!
